Driven and passionate, Maryann Potter has dedicated the past 40 years to decorating cakes. She fell in love with the craft during high school, and continued to pursue it throughout her life, baking primarily for friends and family. Then, four years ago, Ms. Potter saw her dreams come to fruition with the opening of Simply Beautiful Cakes, where she specializes in custom cakes, cupcakes, breads, scones, and muffins. She has thrived since then, earning a glowing reputation for both excellent customer service and for creating lightweight, moist and tasty cakes.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Potter attributes her success to having a positive attitude and to never giving up. She has taken on a host of responsibilities with her new business, including teaching workshops for cake designing and creating new designs, flavors, and recipes, but feels she is more than up to the task. Looking to the future, Ms. Potter intends to open a store front.
