In pursuit of her passions, Heather Pulley graduated from the University of Akron in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and marketing management. During her time in college, she served as an event management intern for the International Soap Box Derby, and upon her graduation, she accepted a full time position with the nonprofit as the programs coordinator. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategy, event planning, registrations, community outreach, trajectories and budgets.
Ms. Pulley is inspired by her parents, who always worked hard to provide for their family, and taught her to always do her best. Additionally, her aunt, who is a business woman, has served as mentor to her. Ms. Pulley’s strengths include her strong leadership and listening skills, in addition to her excellent ability to delegate responsibilities. Although she has just started her career, Ms. Pulley has already hosted her first private planned event, a feat she is very proud of.
When Ms. Pulley has free time, she enjoys playing soccer, attending sporting events, reading, traveling, camping and going to the beach. She is also a member of the Theta Kappa chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, where she has previously held positions as president and VP of finance.
