A trained coach through the courses she’s taken with the College of Executive Coaching, Ms. Magdalena Mook also holds a master’s degree in economics and international trade. Interested in how professional coaching impacts society change, she decided to begin working with the International Coach Federation in October 2005. Due to her expertise in strategic planning, cultural competence, ethics, international affairs and board governance, Ms. Mook was named chief executive officer in 2011, a position she holds to this day. She is responsible for overseeing budgets and managing ICF staff.
With 22 years in her industry, Ms. Mook’s greatest strength is that she is a leader and visionary. She can speak on complex issues and make an impact, which also makes her a successful and inspirational coach and leader for ICF. The greatest accomplishment of her career was growing the ICF staff from 5,000 to 30,000, and increasing membership from 5,000 to 35,000. Ms. Mook wants to be remembered as a leader and for developing other leaders, as well as for bringing professional coaching to the forefront. She is a member of the International Women’s Leadership Association, and when she’s not working, she enjoys reading, running and hiking.
