When Lisa Nason took a tax class in college to learn how to do her own taxes, she realized she had found her passion. She continued to pursue the field, and ended up graduating from Clemson University with a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in management. Further, Ms. Nason became licensed as a CPA in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She proceeded to spend nearly two decades working for companies like KPMG, Deloitte & Touche, and NuVox Communications, where she garnered experience in tax compliance, and income, sales, property and telecommunications taxes.

Using the skills she learned along the way, Ms. Nason decided to acquire her own private company, Nason Accounting, LLC, in 2006. There, she employs six CPAs who share her goal of helping businesses and individuals increase and preserve their financial net worth. Ms. Nason works hard to educate her clients, and hopes to help them understand that working with a CPA isn’t scary. As a testament to her success, she was included among the 10 Best CPAs in South Carolina in 2015, and is an honored member of The International Women’s Leadership Association.

When Ms. Nason isn’t working, she is involved in a nonprofit organization for underprivileged children. This will be part of an academy for less-fortunate youth and will provide scholarships. Ms. Nason also supports the Tajh Boyd Foundation and Center Stage. She hopes to be remembered as a successful businesswoman and good mother who was always willing to help those in need.
