Fran Scott has 40 years of experience in her profession, 28 of which have been spent as the president for her company, Fran’s Insurance and Consulting, which provides life, health and travel insurance, segregated fund investment services and financial, retirement and budget planning services. Her many years have allowed her to develop expert skills in client relations, life, critical illness, disability insurance and group insurance. As president, her responsibilities include meeting with clients, fact-finding, overseeing daily business operations and matching the proper product with the clients’ needs. She prides herself and her company in not just selling insurance, but protecting and providing for clients and their families and businesses.

Ms. Scott became involved in her career because of her prior experience in banking and nursing. She felt the need to guide people and protect their finance. In order to prepare for her career, Ms. Scott completed coursework in bookkeeping and secretarial work and studied mortgages and banking. She also earned certification in life insurance, property and casualty insurance and health insurance.

Always looking to to help those in need, the highlight of Ms. Scott’s career was presenting a family with a death claim check when they were destitute. She was also able to help an illiterate mother with three underage children. She attributes her success to her patience and understanding. Looking to the future, she intends to help more people gain their peace of mind when it comes to their finances.

Ms. Scott is a member of the Canadian Pool Association, and is the treasurer of the Canadian Newfoundland Rescue. In her free time, she enjoys playing darts, pool, billiards and badminton, as well as Latin and ballroom dancing.
