Passionate about technology, Jennifer Torlone decided to pursue a career in computers and networking. She started out in the information technology department in the manufacturing industry, and proceeded to grow within the company. Ms. Torlone eventually transferred to the aviation industry, and although she didn’t know the trade, she has thrived in the five years she has been with Amerijet, a full-service, multi-modal transportation and logistics provider. Since joining the company, she has positioned it to become a leader in technology by modernizing the applications, architecture, and infrastructure. Amerijet was the first company to embrace the e-cargo initiative.

As a testament to her success, Ms. Torlone was nominated for the title of South Florida Influential Business Woman of the Year in 2016, and received the Steven Douglas CIO Lifetime Achievement Award from South Florida Business Journal in 2015. She was also honored with the Women in E-Commerce Golden Mouse Award in 2013. Ms. Torlone attributes these achievements to having a great support system in her personal life and wonderful female role models, like Kathryn McClellan, as well as being afforded the flexibility to grow in her career. As a member of The International Women’s Leadership Association, she would advise the younger generations to find a mentor and try harder every day.
