After two decades of professional experience, Frances H. Hampton has developed an impressive repertoire of specialties, including tax matters, trust and estate planning, and business law.  She began her career as a certified public accountant, and gained experience in corporate finance before deciding to pursue a career in law. Following a long journey, Ms. Hampton opened F. Hunter Hampton, P.C., a boutique law firm specializing in taxation, estate planning, wills and trusts, probate and estate administration, and business law and succession planning for both individuals and companies. She is passionate about her clients, and takes pride in the personalized attention she is able to provide.

In addition to her work as an attorney, Ms. Hampton also serves as an adjunct professor and teaches continuing legal and tax education classes. She currently holds a Master of Laws in taxation from Georgetown University Law center, and is a certified public accountant and certified financial planner. To stay current with the ever-changing nature of her profession, Ms. Hampton takes additional classes each year. She is a member of the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association. Additionally, Ms. Hampton is affiliated with the American Institute of CPAs, AAACP, the National Association of Tax Professionals, and the Tidewater Tax Council.
