When Tammi Price was choosing her career path, she was stuck between science and business. After being exposed to accounting, however, she developed a genuine passion for the business industry. Ms. Price has grown throughout her nearly two decades in the field, and is currently serving as the vice president of investor relations and corporate development for Gibson Energy Inc. The company provides services for the transportation, storage, blending, processing, marketing, and distribution of crude oil, condensate, NGLs and refined products. In her role, she works on many facets of the company’s operations, ensures good vendor relations, provides industry information to customers, works on the company’s strategic plans and five-year projections, and meets with portfolio managers, shareholders, and senior executives.

Ms. Price was the first female to be promoted to the position of vice president within her company. She also initiated and led a $455 million transaction, the largest in the corporation’s history. Ms. Price credits her success to having great mentors and confidence; she is open to taking on new tasks and is not afraid to fail. She does not shy away from the jobs others aren’t willing to do. To prepare for her career, Ms. Price earned a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from Saint Mary’s University in 1992. She is currently a member of the Commerce and Investor Relations Group and the Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants. In five years, Ms. Price sees herself as a C-level executive.
