Armed with a strong understanding of the world of cyber security, Ronda Henning has continued to grow and thrive. She is currently the senior scientist for security and privacy at Harris Corporation, which is an international communications equipment company. In her role, she is responsible for the corporate security vision for Harris Corporation product and service offerings and for advanced system architectures across customer communities. Dr. Henning previously served Harris Corporation as the network security manager for the FAA telecommunication infrastructure program, which she considers to be among her greatest accomplishments.

Before joining Harris Corporation, Dr. Henning worked for the National Security Agency, where she handled information security research and development. She is a frequent speaker on enterprise information processes and assurance, and has more than 50 refereed publications. As a woman in today’s world, Dr. Henning feels that hard work and having male mentors contributed to her success, as they increased her credibility within the industry. She prepared for her career by earning a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern, an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in computer science from John Hopkins University. Dr. Henning also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and five industry certifications. Her professional goal is to continue to give back and train the next generation, and to continue to advance the systems. Dr. Henning hopes to be remembered for her integrity and technical compliance.
