Every day spent at Custom Plating Specialist is rewarding to Mary Meetz. She and her husband, Terry, bought the chroming company from his dad in 2004, and since their takeover, it has grown from two employees to nine full-time employees and two part-time employees. Recently, Custom Plating Specialist was nominated for the Small Family Business Award by the Osh Kosh Family Business Association. They are separated from their peers by their superior customer service and attention to detail.

As an expert in organizational operations and the vice president of the business, Ms. Meetz handles bookkeeping, packaging the jobs that are sent in for re-chroming, waxing parts, shipping, mailing, and billing. She attributes her success to her husband’s dedication; he has been in the business for more than two decades. Looking forward, Ms. Meetz hopes to build the business and become financially stable. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her five children and her two dogs.
