After 25 years of experience in the health care profession, Janet Batchelder decided to reinvent herself and change careers. To that end, she took the state required courses and obtained licensing as a realtor. Ms. Batchelder now serves the people of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and feels that her God-given ability to relate to people will certainly be a strength in the industry. She is excited to start the next chapter of her life.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Batchelder served as a self-employed CNA. She believed there was a huge gap in the health care industry, and was passionate about seeing it close. Ms. Batchelder thought that health care professionals needed to be better trained and more capable of addressing the needs of the patients more effectively and efficiently.

The biggest challenge Ms. Batchelder had to go through was losing her mother as an infant, and then losing her father. She is inspired by having grown up in a large family full of love and acceptance, however, and considers her greatest accomplishment to be her children. Ms. Batchelder hopes to be remembered as someone who genuinely cared about and helped people without judgment. She is currently a member of The International Women’s Leadership Association.
