Amy Goodspeed has always placed value in helping others receive quality health and wellness care. After gaining immense experience and knowledge serving the field in a variety of capacities, she decided to open her own business, Economy Medical, Inc., with her husband. The company provides equipment, such as wheelchair vans, scooter lifts, driving aids and transfer seats, to help clients with their mobility issues.

The biggest challenge Ms. Goodspeed faced when starting Economy Medical, Inc., was working with her husband for so many hours of the day. She has found that they complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses, however, and she is inspired by her husband’s wonderful encouragement and drive to see the business grow. Ms. Goodspeed’s greatest strength is her ability to see the positive side of everything. She is very proud of the way she has stayed on top of the constant regulatory changes in the industry.

Looking to the future, Ms. Goodspeed would eventually like to sell her business to a major corporation so that she can move on to opening a high-end retail dress shop. She would like to be remembered for being a great mother to her three daughters. When Ms. Goodspeed has some free time, she enjoys yoga and hiking.
