Mary Lou O’Keefe, Administrative Coordinator of Cooper Standard, has been recognized as a Top Female Executive for dedication, achievement and leadership in business administration.
Ms. O’Keefe grew up on a farm outside of a small town, graduated high school, attended college, got a job and got married. She is at a point in her life where she is comfortable in her skin and confident in who she is, what she thinks, and where she is going. Looking back, she chose the administration field because she wanted to help people by lightening their loads, and brightening their day. She started as a receptionist in 1991 and her path unfolded from there. Currently, she is taking online college courses working toward her CHRP designation, so that more options open to her when her husband retires.
To prepare for her career, Ms. O’Keefe attended Conestoga College, Waterloo Campus, from 1989 to 1991 in the certificate program titled Business Administration: Executive. She made myself more valuable to Cooper by cross training in different areas.
