An expert in single-family homes, Fatou Niang has been a real estate advisor with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty for the past four years. In that role, she is responsible for showing homes, conducting tours, and ensuring that her knowledge of the market is up-to-date. Ms. Niang became involved in her profession because of its convenience; it allowed her to remain in her area and raise her children. She has succeeded because of her personality and extensive network.

Prior to her current position, however, Ms. Niang worked with public and media relations. She owned her own business, 368 Consulting & Communications, which was dedicated to helping clients implement various communications strategies. Additionally, Ms. Niang worked for Disneyland Paris, where she was a media relations specialist in charge of African media in Paris and abroad. She prepared for her career by earning a Bachelor of Arts in advertising, marketing and communication from CNED in France.

Ms. Niang moved to the U.S. from France in 1996, and has become very involved in her community. She is a committee member for the New Canaan Rams All Sports Booster Club, the vice president of ways and means for the Newcomers Club of New Canaan, and a board member of the Young Women’s League of New Canaan.  Ms. Niang is also a member of the Institute for Luxury Homes. In the next five years, she hopes to master the real estate industry, increase her sales, and become the top real estate agent in her area.
