Drawing on her expertise in phlebotomy and overall business operations, Lesile Porschen is the current president and owner of Porite Labs. She also serves as the co-owner of Cliffside Labs. Porite Labs is a full-service independent clinical laboratory that provides phlebotomy services, and Cliffside Labs is a drug abuse testing lab. In both of her roles, Ms. Porschen is responsible for drawing blood, analyzing lab results and reporting to doctors. She became involved in her profession because of her father, who opened the labs 65 years ago.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Porschen earned a Bachelor of Science in medical technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1981 and an associate degree in medical technology from Bergen Community College in 1979. She was on the basketball team during her time at school, and was inducted to the Fairleigh Dickinson Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009. Although she is now retired, Ms. Porschen followed her love for sports after graduation, and officiated Division I women’s college basketball games, as well as high school volleyball and softball games. She attributes her success to the support of her family and friends, as well as being good at what she does and getting things done in a timely fashion.
