As a caring and passionate person, Mari Derouaux was drawn to the health care field.  Her greatest strength is her compassion for the senior population. Ms. Derouaux also enjoys mentoring the younger nurses and working with wound care patients. When she sees the difference she makes in the lives of her patients, it validates what she does and why. Ms. Derouaux currently serves as a registered nurse at Memorial Health.

Working full time while taking care of her family and going to school full time was a big challenge for Ms. Derouaux, but it paid off. She followed her dream, earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and became certified as a wound care specialist. As a testament to her success, Ms. Derouaux was recognized as the Employee of the Year from Ohio State University twice. She was also honored with the Outstanding Customer Service of the Year Award. Additionally, Ms. Derouaux was selected to be on a panel regarding wound care; she will contribute to the guidelines and regulations part of the event. She is affiliated with The Central Ohio Wound Nurses Association.
