Rabbi Helene Ainbinder has more than 25 years of teaching experience in diverse Jewish movements. She has taught in a variety of mediums, including in religious schools of the Conservative Jewish Movement. Additionally, Rabbi Ainbinder worked on a grant with Israeli synagogues and schools regarding education and the environment with Teva, and has spent time as an education director of the Manetto Hill Jewish Center of Plainview, N.Y. Currently, she serves Beit Chaverim of Southern Utah, which is part of the Reform Movement. Rabbi Ainbinder is also the vice president of the Interfaith Council of St. George, Utah, and an instructor at the Institute for Continued Learners at Dixie State University.
In addition to her work as an educator, Rabbi Ainbinder is also an author. She published a book called, “A Novice’s Guide Through the Jewish Holidays,” which explores traditions and historical events, along with Hebrew blessings in transliteration of the holidays for people of diverse faiths and learning skills. The guide is intended to inspire and enlighten multi-generational and interfaith families to learn together, and includes recipes and art projects to enhance the celebrations. Rabbi Ainbinder is very driven, and has written articles to inspire women to achieve more. She also tries to wipe away misrepresentation of Jewish people. Rabbi Ainbinder would like to be remembered as a renaissance woman on the cutting edge of Jewish matters.
