Edge, EricaTitle: Master Sergeant

Company: U.S. Air Force

Location: Hampton, Va.

Following her current professional goal, Erica Edge intends to retire as master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years, building up the Restoration Circle as a nonprofit. Through her nonprofit, she works with men, women and children in their spiritual hindrance and wholeness, completeness, one’s in God by acknowledging, releasing, forgiving those people and things of the past that may affect the NOW in their lives. Ms. Edge is inspired by watching how the smallest things can be changed in one’s life for a major improvement of themselves personally and professionally.

indexAs a woman in today’s world, Ms. Edge feels that her resiliency, training and being surrounded by men who have challenged her physically and intellectually has been a struggle she quickly overcame. The advice she can give to the younger generation of women entering the workforce is, “Don’t sell yourself short and do not say you cannot unless you truly tried and gave your 100 percent.  If you do not succeed after that it is okay.” Ms. Edge prepared for her profession through numerous military training courses, while earning a Associate Degree in education and training, as well as pursuing coursework in Armament Systems Technology, including on-the-job training, ranging from the management of 55 to 2800 military and civilian personnel.
