Linda Murphy has been a financial controller at Brian Kurtz Trucking for almost two years, and has 23 years of experience in finance. She is also on the board of directors as a treasurer for the Guelph Humane Society for the past five years, and has been instrumental in getting their financial affairs in order to enhance their performance for their stakeholders. In five years, she plans to be a CEO or CFO for a larger company. She would also like to be an entrepreneur and start her own company. Initially, Ms. Murphy became involved in her industry because it was her easiest subject in high school. After high school, she went to college to study accounting.

Ms. Murphy was on the board of directors as treasurer for Wellington Early Learning Centre (a not-for-profit) and was very instrumental in bringing this center out of the red and into the black in order to be able to enhance the programs for the children. She has been with 100 Women Who Care for the past two years. Ms. Murphy also ran for City Council 2010 as a conservative in the city of Guelph. Furthermore, she was a financial agent for the candidate in Guelph during the last election. Prior, she was an accounting manager at Teutech Industries for 21 years.
