As president of Columbia County Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, Inc. for 10 years, Jean Greco continues to build 30 years of clinical services. There, she helps offer free health care for uninsured residents of Lower Luzerne County,Columbia and Montour Counties. The clinic has treated over 1,500 patients, diagnosed more than 40 cancers, and treated numerous patients with chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Ms. Greco’s biggest challenge has been trying to interact professionally like a man, and to be one of the good old boys.

Ms. Greco’s daily responsibilities include staffing, fundraising, and recruiting physicians and other health care professionals to donate time and skills to the clinic. She also does volunteer management, media outreach, and lobbying elected officials at the county, state and federal levels for support. Throughout her career, Ms. Greco has gotten bills passed, was appointed by Congress, wrote policy and spend 21 years on the Democratic State Committee.

Ms. Greco is a dynamic salesperson, has a great personality, and is an experienced visionary that intends to continue growing. She is training to become an accountant, and has already received coursework in new computer skills. Ms. Greco would like to be remembered for loving to give back.
