Wielding a background in training, Susan Doty wanted to move forward to challenge herself between sales and customer service, and has for 10 years been with Thomson Reuters, currently serving as account manager. There, she helps them remain the leading source of intelligent information for the world’s businesses and professionals, providing customers with competitive advantage. Intelligent information is a unique synthesis of human intelligence, industry expertise and innovative technology that provides decision-makers with the knowledge to act, enabling her and her team’s ability to make better decisions faster. Ms. Doty’s vision is to continue in this position since it is new and recent; she would like to build her skills in sales and account management so she can take on a senior management role.
In 2013, Ms. Doty received an award based on my performance. She was top four in the company and was picked to speak in front of 1000’s of people regarding my experience with the company. She is dedicated to delivering this must-have insight to the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and media markets, powered by the world’s most trusted news organization. Ms. Doty received a Bachelor of Art in English from the University of Michigan in 2006, and is an agent of change, having mastered her ability to conform and adapt well to new and advanced situations, professionally.
The advice that Ms. Doty can share with the younger generation of women entering the workforce is to network and keep in touch with the different people you meet. As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Doty feels that women role models, advocates and sponsors who have promoted her in her career have contributed to her success. Her legacy she will like to leave behind is that she is a successful, strong leader. Her greatest value is in customer service and relationship building and my desire to continue to learn.
