Hard work and a polished ability to cultivate valuable business relationships have fostered Belinda Woite’s growth as an associate for Gold Thorpe Planning. Concerned with advising government, non-government and private sector organizations in South Australia, Gold Thorpe Planning utilizes Ms. Woite’s 17 years of consulting experience to foster community engagement and social planning.  Nine years into the position, Ms. Woite continues to provide the consultancy with expert work involving interface and risk management, social and environmental impact assessment, strategic planning, and social and market research.
Sustained by her work ethic, Ms. Woite earned a post-graduate diploma in urban and regional planning from the University of South Australia in 1999, following a bachelor’s degree in environmental management from Flinders University in 1998. She has since proven herself to work well with high achieving teams and has received numerous project awards. Ms. Woite’s commitment to sustainable development manifests itself in her multiple projects; she has notably been involved with designing and implementing rail revitalization, pipe installation, and road network upgrading through Gold Thorpe Planning. In 2015, Ms. Woite utilized her regional planning expertise by serving as stakeholder engagement consultant for SA Health’s Transforming Health, through which she spoke to more than 2000 people at 39 listening posts across South Australia.

In her professional endeavors, Ms. Woite has established a reputation for exceeding targets set for project delivery cost, timing, engagement, innovation and quality. She believes that early engagement is vital to risk-reduction and her anticipatory processing has proven essential to Gold Thorpe Planning. To keep aware of updates in the urban development arena, Ms. Woite maintains a membership with The National Association of Women in Construction. With the advancement of her career she hopes for further growth within her field and contribution to the social planning industry.
