As a woman of strong family values and work ethics, Lois ‘Gabby’ McManus came to her current position as human resources manager because she provided marketing for the company, Benelli USA, 15 years prior. When she came to Benelli USA as a marketing coordinator, they saw her work ethic and asked her to take over human resources operations. M.s McManus took this position head on, as she was raised to work hard and dedicate herself to her employees.

Ms. McManus enjoys working for the company and with people, and not just the administrative perks, but helping people develop their skills and careers. The advice she’d give to young women is to “really love what you’re doing and give it you’re all without settling.” Her goal is to continue growing her faith in the company, and potentially advance to a vice president position, while obtaining more certifications and educational coursework. Ms. McManus loves a good challenges, and continuing her learning has helped her advance through different roles within the company.

The biggest challenge Ms. McManus has faced within transitioning positions is advancing to the executive level, but helping people develop in their position for the company is the highlight of her career. To keep abreast of changes in her profession, she holds memberships with SHRM. During her free-time, Ms. McManus supports the American Heart Association.
