Practicing in the legal fields that affect people the most, Jaclyn Giffen finds herself within her second year providing clients with her expertise in women’s rights under the practice, Giffen Legal Professional Corporation. She is glad to be working as an advocate for people in their time of greatest need. She plans, continue her legal career in the northern region of Ontario to help others navigate their way through the legal system to achieve effective and speedy resolution. Ms. Giffen also plans to volunteer at the local Women’s Crisis Center and Legal Aid Clinics in Timmins in order to give back to the local community.

Throughout her work-week, Ms. Giffen meets with clients, closes cases, opens new files, drafts documents, communicates with mentors, and does publishing and public speaking on women’s rights. She began her firm after earning a JD from the University of Ottawa, following up the Master of Arts she recieved from Carleton University in 2013. In five years, Ms. Giffen plans to manage a successful practice with a board of directors team. She also hopes to teach at the college level and later possibly work in government.
