For the past two years, Gillian Houston has served Schlam Engineering as its business administration manager. Through this role, she ensures that proper systems are in place, develops policies, oversees compliance and new business development, and oversees six direct reports.
Schlam Engineering provides maintenance and wear management. The company is committed to improving heavy equipment performance, such as mining bucket and dump truck body repair and refurbishment that can increase productivity, safety, and reliability. Schlam Engineering handles asset management, maintenance, manufacture, design and engineering services. The company upholds key partnerships with some of Australia’s largest resource companies due to their extensive experience in the hard rock mining environment.
Attributing her success to hard work and determination, Ms. Houston laid the foundation for her prosperous career by achieving a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from The University of Western Australia. She followed this with a bachelor’s degree in learning and teaching management from the University of Central Queensland, as well as an Executive Master Class from Murdoch University. A natural progression of opportunities led her to her position with Schlam Engineering.
