Wielding 17 years of medical systems management services, Veronica Gerke continues her career as administrative services manager at the competency document center of Kaiser Foundation Hospital.  As a hospital, Kaiser Foundation relies on her seasoned software systems programming expertise to keep their emergency, preventative and prenatal care services moving fluidly. Ms. Gerke also manages administrative duties, trains new staff, oversees special projects, assists in hospital unit establishments, and maintains employee files.

Ms. Gerke received a Master of Business Administration in human resource management and project management from Keller Graduate School of Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2004. She believes her success in her career stems from her dedication and motivation. Ms. Gerke also attributes her success to her mother, who taught her the value of a good education and made sure she focused on school, while growing up.

The advice Ms. Gerke would like to bestow upon the younger generation of female professionals is to try identifying what they love at an early age and pursue it as soon as possible. During her free-time, she serves as a team captain for the Heart Walk through the American Heart Association. Ms. Gerke also contributes charitable efforts toward the company’s Kaiser Permanente initiative.
