Dr. Biswas has been working with the City of Houston health department as a public health investigator for the last five years. She feels that investigating communicable diseases enables her to have an enormous exposure with infection control and preventative efforts through public health services. Dr. Biswas’ clinical experiences alleviated her precise understanding and proper management capabilities of infection control, as well as strengthened her expertise as an efficient public health professional.

Dr. Biswas also plans health education programs, and handles implementation and evaluation of community-based projects, policy writing, health promotion design and the development questionnaires for preventative health care surveys, which enhanced her goal to be a dedicated, dynamic, creative and resourceful public health professional with superior problem-solving skills. She advises young professionals to be satisfied with their career and find what they love to do. In the coming years, Dr. Biswas plans to grow within the organization and field sector, as well as perform research on the epidemiology side, and implement improvements.
