In her fifth year as founder of Teach Code, the nonprofit education agency, Jessica Ingrassellino helps provide education for students in at-risk areas pertaining to video-game programming and computer programming using the Python language. As an expert in test-planning, software testing and curriculum design, she helps develop scripts for various player integrations, APIs, iOS, Android, and internal web applications, using shell scripting, SQL and MongoDB to query systems and investigate issues. Ms. Ingrassellino also researches the documentation of the system, while conducting speaking engagements on software testing strategy and organizational analysis, and building architectural structures for quality and software.
The highlight of Ms. Ingrassellino’s career was receiving feedback about the impact that she had on students, colleagues and other individuals who she aimed to help. She attributes her success to her commitment, education, experience, and community support.. She became involved in her profession because, as a former school teacher, Ed.D. candidate, and current engineer and technology enthusiast, she believes that all students deserve access to quality technology instruction. In five years, Ms. Nickel expects continued growth in the New York metropolitan areas for Teach Computer Programming.
