Celebrating five years at Avista Healthcare, Ruth Rowe continues in her current position as activity director, working with seniors to put a smile on their face, daily. She became involved in the career initially when she started volunteering in a nursing home, received a national certification as an activity professional through Kingsboro Community College, and has since worked hard with an insatiable tenacity to be remembered as a professional who always smiled. Throughout the years, she has received a lot of support from her peers and is constantly looking to ways to enhance their programs. Ms. Rowe’s biggest challenge has been balancing her professional and home-life, thus her greatest accomplishment has been raising her children, seeing what they do with their lives, and reminding them to always put their faith first.
