Upon graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design, Sheila Day began as a graphic designer at PS. Though, having been garnered a breadth of experience in the field, she was determined to begin her own business, which she entitled it Designing Woman. For 18 years, Ms. Day provided custom murals, hand-painted furniture, accessories and pet portraits for residences and commercial partners.

Ms. Day’s murals can be seen in the MRI rooms of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Women’s Hospital and the entrances into the NICU, Seton Specialty Hospital, The Pediatric Rehab areas and St. Vincent Carmel Pediatric emergency rooms. One of her largest clients at the time was St. Vincent Hopsital, and she also painted at Oh Yumm Bistro, and Chateau Thomas Winery. In 2001, Ms. Day switched gears from the entrepreneurial life, and returned to her roots at Eiteljorg Museum, currently serving there as membership manager.
