12179478-standard-140x150Title: Registered Nurse, Disability Advocate

Location: Staten Island, N.Y.

Presently, Ms. Drozeck is a well-known advocate for the disabled who works tirelessly to make positive changes within the NYC Commission on Human Rights. She is continuing on in her mission to have bills passed that will bring about better disability laws. She earned a nursing degree in 1985 from Wagner College and has been providing services to the health care arena since. Currently, she is a registered nurse with the Staten Island University Hospital, and remains successful through her insatiable determination and never faltering her beliefs.

Ms. Drozeck’s accomplishment is to continue to move forward through hardships in my life, including overcoming and maintaining her balance between work and the epilepsy she has had since she was young, thus building a great amount of passion to help others. She fights on through the memory of her grandmother, who always stood up for what she believed in. During her free-time, Ms. Drozeck supports the Epilepsy Foundation, sits on the City Mediac Reserve Board, and volunteers with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
