Founder and president of the Life Story Library Foundation, Paulette Stevens began her professional creative journey upon finding out that people are and will always be fascinated by stories. Having prior experiences as a journalist, she saw how people listened to and read about others, and decided this would be her career path. Now, as a story preservationist, Ms. Stevens uses the foundation as many writers’ stepping stone into their art. As an expert in social entrepreneurship and development, Ms. Stevens builds upon her team to accomplish the goal of her vision, helping people perseve stories of the past. She attributes her success to her hard work and very strong respect and appreciation for business relationships. In five years, Ms. Stevens intends to see thousands of stories in the archives and in collections. She wants to see sustainability in the organization.
In 1969, Ms. Stevens earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, history and education from The University of Utah. Since then, she keeps abreast of facets of her career through her memberships with the International Institute for Reminiscence and Life Review, the National Association of Professional Women, and the Association of Personal Historians, Inc. During her free-time, Ms. Stevens’ supports Discovery Gateway.
