Founder of L A Dominguez Law, LLC, Linda Anna Dominguez took more than 16 years of experience as prosecutor of the Federal Government, and opened up her own practice. There, she handles cases involving complex state and federal legal issues, including immigration law and domestic violence both from the criminal offense perceptive, and the avenues of relief for the victims of abuse. She also practices law in equal employment opportunity violations by both government and private employers. Attorney Dominguez began in the field professionally upon graduating the Duquesne University school of law in 1989.
On April 2014, Attorney Dominguez argued the case of Aquino v. Holder before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Aquino, a native and citizen of El Salvador, had fled because of threats and acts of violence against him as the nephew and cousin of members of the 18th Street gang, through whom he became a target for death by the MS-13 gang (Mara Salvatrucha). The Fourth Circuit found that Mr. Aquino had demonstrated that he was a member of a particular social group and that he was subjected to a pattern of targeted and specific threats warranting a grant of asylum.
