Dominique Lallement

consulting-icon-bigTitle: President

Company: American Friends of Chartres

Location: Washington, D.C.

Celebrating her first year as president of American Friends of Chartres, Dominique Lallement provides the nonprofit organization with an expertise in strategic thinking and bringing people today. As a true leader, American Friends of Chartres relies on her to take their group to new heights of fundraising for the preservation and restoration of the cathedral, and promotion of the cathedral for all of its cultural dimensions. The highlight of Ms. Lallement’s career has been helping improve the lives of undeserved individuals.

Initially, Ms. Lallement became involved in her profession because she realized the importance of preserving cultural heritage through the cathedral. Now, she provides American Friends of Chartres with long-term goals and strategy completion through establishing system processes to create accountability, while forging relations with the French government and sister organizations, and leading the ongoing project for the restoration of major stained glass windows. Ms. Lallement believes her success stems from her hard work, honesty and commitment.

Ms. Lallement received a Master of Public Affairs in academic development at Princeton University, having received a master’s degree in European studies from the Institute of International Studies. During her free-time, she supports the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund through Apple Hill Chamber Orchestra, the Washington Bach Consort, Choral Arts Society, and the Special Olympics. In five years, Ms. Lallement hopes to continue to work with young people as a consultant. She will also continue to mentor youth on a one-on-one basis.
