As a child, Kathy Subic was always sketching and designing while she watched her grandmother work as a dressmaker in the former Yugoslavia. Upon migrating to Australia at 18 years old, she immediately found a job in the fashion sector in Melbourne, Australia, and never looked back. Since then, Ms. Subic has had the privilege of working with the greats in the industry, including Norma Tullo, Country Road, Exmoor Creations, Dominex, Topwear Fashions, and Jag, to name a few. She eventually decided to use the experience she gained over the years to build her own fashion line, Zeega. There, Ms. Subic designs, manufactures and sells timeless classic clothing made from the finest natural fabrics from around the world.

Ms. Subic feels that the most gratifying aspect of her career is job satisfaction. When a client tries a garment on and immediately beams with pleasure and praises her quality, cut, and fit, it produces a feeling that no money can buy. The highlight of Ms. Subic’s professional journey was being recognized as the best in her field by the Australian fashion forecasting agency at a trade fair in 2011. She attributes her success to her passion and understanding of her target market. Ms. Subic believes that her ability to listen to her clients, understand their needs, and design accordingly is what separates her from her peers. Her customers start off as clients, but often become friends as well, proud to wear and support the Zeega brand. If Ms. Subic could offer some advice to the younger generations, it would be to think of doing good things for people to impact their lives in a better way.
