Title: Chief Executive Officer
Company: Pasta Mama’s
Location: Richland, WA United States
A skilled leader and a kind, caring and giving individual, Maronda Garzone was the perfect person to take over Pasta Mama’s. The all-natural pasta manufacturing company was founded in 1986 by Diane Santillie and her husband, Paul. They were forced to take a hiatus in 1994 for personal reasons, but they returned in 2010 by popular demand. When Ms. Santillie passed away in 2013, Ms. Garzone, a family friend, stepped in to run the business. She is inspired by the company’s story and history, and intends to carry on their legacy of high-quality products and integrity. Pasta Mama’s products can be found in retailers all over the country and into Canada.
To prepare for her new role, Ms. Garzone has been studying leadership in various courses and seminars, including ones taught by Tony Robbins, a motivational speaker, personal finance instructor, and self-help author. Her goal is to learn as much as she can every day to further her career and grow her business. Prior to joining Pasta Mama’s, Ms. Garzone held sales positions with Southwestern Book Company and Trendwest Resorts, and served as a marketing and orthodontics assistant at Almond Orthodontics.
As a single mother of two teenage boys, the biggest challenge Ms. Garzone faces is balancing her work and family. She is proud of her ability to be a good mother and a good leader, however, and wouldn’t change a thing about her situation. When Ms. Garzone isn’t working or learning, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, and staying healthy and fit. She is currently an honored member of The International Women’s Leadership Association.
