Jazzelle S. Queen enjoys being able to make a positive difference in the lives of the elderly. That’s why she became the owner and president of Cognitive Companions, an in-home care company that provides services such as companionship, hygiene, personal care, light or complete housekeeping, meal preparation, cognitive exercises, and mobility assistance. Ms. Queen believes that the elderly deserve to receive the attention and care they need in the comfort of their own homes. Staff members are available to patients 24/7, and are carefully selected based on individual needs.

In her current role, Ms. Queen uses the expertise she has developed in cognitive therapy and elder care to oversee and train her team, manage sales and marketing, and work with the elderly. She and the caregivers she employs are trained and certified in areas most associated with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and other related conditions.

When Ms. Queen isn’t working, she enjoys reading. She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Ms. Queen attributes her success to never taking no for an answer. She doesn’t let obstacles get in her way.
