In between jobs, Emily Hudkins was looking for work when her husband suggested that real estate would be a good fit. She agreed, and prepared for her new career by obtaining her associate broker’s license and senior real estate specialist certification, and becoming a Texas affordable housing specialist and accredited buyer’s representative. Ms. Hudkins also holds a property and casualty license. Upon garnering the tools she needed to thrive in the industry, she joined Jesse James Real Estate in 2007, where she works with both buyers and sellers. Ms. Hudkins is inspired to continue providing quality service by seeing how happy her clients are when a sale is completed. She compares helping others find a home to a puzzle; it may take a while to find a good fit, but she never gives up.

As a testament to her success, Ms. Hudkins won the Realtor of the Year Award from the Highland Lakes Association of Realtors in 2015, and became a delegate with The International Women’s Leadership Association in 2014. She attributes her achievements to her work ethic, morals, integrity, loyalty, and communication skills. Moving forward, Ms. Hudkins intends to continue to be active within the community and help to make a difference in the lives of others. She currently volunteers at the Lutie Watkins United Methodist Church, and participates in the Llano Chamber of Commerce as a former member of the board of directors and the former second vice president of the executive board. Ms. Hudkins also served on the board of directors for the Cherokee chapter of the ANCA. When she isn’t working, she enjoys quilting, making crosses from barbed wire and jewelry beads, and riding on her husband’s motorcycle.
