With nearly four decades of professional experience, including 18 years as the owner and quality foods creator of Art to Eat, Michelle Plain has become distinguished among her peers for her excellence in baking. She started the business in 1998, and provides custom catering for any event that needs creative, delicious food. Ms. Plain’s specialties lie in butter tarts, cakes and muffins, and she is proud to say that everything she makes is made from scratch, the old-fashioned way. In addition to baking, she is also responsible for advertising, shopping, conducting research, and cleaning.

Ms. Plain first became involved in her profession growing up, when she was raised on her grandfather’s farm. Additionally, her father owned a butchery and pub, so her exposure to the world of food services began at a young age. Over time, she developed a passion for food as well, which she then turned into an extensive and successful career.

Looking to the future, Ms. Plain aims to expand her business and sell her butter tarts online. She is charitably involved with World Vision, Inc., and enjoys gardening, hiking, dog sitting and wine tasting in her spare time.
