Inspired by the faculty and staff she encountered as an undergraduate, Ashley Maloney decided she wanted to help college students develop their leadership skills. Her creativity and problem solving abilities make her an asset to Front Range Community College, the largest community college in Colorado. Ms. Maloney is proud of her advancement within the institution; she started out as a loan recruiter, and has progressed to be the director of outreach and enrollment services. Looking forward, she hopes to continue to grow, and advance to the dean level of student services.

As a first generation college graduate, Ms. Maloney finds education to be very important. She currently holds a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs, and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Ms. Maloney attributes her success to her mentors and female leaders, who helped her learn how to balance her family with her professional life. She would advise the younger generation of women to set goals and make plans to achieve those goals. Additionally, Ms. Maloney would remind them that the only thing that can be changed is the future.
