As the owner of Paragon Medical Finances, her goal is to maximize the earning potential of her clients by providing them with ways to improve revenue cycle management and cash flow optimization. This will allow doctors to spend more time with their patients and less time with paperwork. Ms. Tackett feels that her career path allows her to really help a critical group of people. In her experience, physicians often find it impossible to sustain a profitable practice that still leaves time for their family and for critical focus on their patients.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Tackett attributes her success to never believing that women have limitations. To that end, she joined the International Women’s Leadership Association. Additionally, Ms. Tackett’s strengths in innovation and creative thinking have proven key along the way. She would advise the younger generation of women to be bold and to ask for what they want.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Tackett attends ongoing training. This allows her to remain aware the challenges her customers are facing, like complying with electronic records for Medicare and Medicaid, and learn how she can make it easier for them. Ms. Tackett believes that if she can help one physician maintain their private practice as opposed to joining another they don’t want to or abandoning the field all together, it is all worth it.
