Letitia White’s law career began in 1978, when she became one of the first paralegals in Houston. She had always had an interest in law and politics, and after a lot of hard work, she established specialties in real estate and transactional law. Ms. White has served as the senior attorney of marketing and services at Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc., for the past 16 years now. The chemical company produces and supplies substances such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, base chemicals, and transportation fuels. Ms. White’s role with the business includes being part of the general council to the marketing and services department, managing all transactional work, from real estate to construction contracts, and overseeing the transactions to purchase feed stock and sell products. Additionally, she advises and trains the credit department and the motor oil and industrial lubricant businesses, and drafts and reviews contracts.

As a testament to her success in the field, Ms. White is an AV-Rated Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell. She is also a member of the American Association of Corporate Counsel, the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and Women in Real Estate. In addition, Ms. White is a former member of the American Bar Association.

To prepare for her career, Ms. White earned a JD from South Texas College of Law in 1986, and a Bachelor of Arts in history and archaeology from Indiana University in 1974. She intends to be retired and working on a consultative basis in the next five years. When Ms. White isn’t working, she enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, and attending the opera.
