An expert in organization, networking, and office management, Alia Carpenter parlays years of professional experience into her position with Samaritan Village. The nationally-recognized organization provides comprehensive health and human services to people throughout New York City.  This includes substance abuse treatment, mental health and primary health care, specialized programs for military veterans, vocational and employment services, shelter and transitional housing, and support for seniors. As the intake specialist for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program, Ms. Carpenter oversees the intake process for homeless veterans, and serves as the first point of contact.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Carpenter earned a Bachelor of Arts in advertising from New York Institute of Technology in 2003. She is currently the president of the Parents Association for the Drum and Bugle Corp in New York City. Ms. Carpenter attributes her success to her faith in her Creator.
