After years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Sandra Cardenas decided to join her husband at his company, Advanced Foam Packaging, Inc. Leaving her previous job was tough, but she feels it was the right decision. Ms. Cardenas’ new company is a leader in custom foam fabrication for the packaging industry. They support design applications for a variety of industries, including military applications, automotive, aerospace, medical, and general consumer products. As the co-owner, Ms. Cardenas handles business development and finance. Her strengths lie in positivity and getting people to work as a team.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Cardenas feels that learning and having discipline have contributed to her success. She would advise the younger generation of women entering the workforce to always have a goal and a plan to reach that goal. Looking to the future, Ms. Cardenas intends to continue to grow the business. When she isn’t working, she enjoys swimming and tennis.
