Michelle L. Freimund, Project/Program Manager of AECOM Technical Services, Inc., has been recognized as a Top Female Executive for dedication, achievement and leadership in hydrogeology.

Ms. Freimund has 25 years of experience in her field, with three years as a program manager for AECOM Technical Services, Inc and 22 years as a project manager at AECOM and various other companies combined. She chose her career path after taking a survey test in high school that indicated what field she should pursue based on her interests and abilities. She considers her greatest strength to be her ability to communicate with all kinds of people.

Ms. Freimund offers the following advice to younger generations of women: “Be strong and firm in your convictions. Don’t be afraid to voice your opinion.” She attributes her success as a female in her industry to never letting male domination intimidate her.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Freimund received a Bachelor of Science in geology, with an emphasis in hydrogeology, from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Additionally, she is a licensed professional geologist in the State of Wisconsin. She serves as an active member of the Federation of Environmental Technologists, the Society of American Military Engineers and the Association of Engineering Geologists. In years to come, Ms. Freimund would like to be managing accounts; she is always on the lookout for continued professional growth.
