Equipped with strong interpersonal skills and product knowledge, Pamela J. Pulley has served as the regional sales manager of Metro Swim Shop for the past 10 years. The retail company provides competitive and recreational swimwear, and carries top brands such as Speedo, TYR, and Nike. In addition to swimwear, the shop also sells training gear, such as kickboards, goggles and barbells, and pool gear, like racing lanes and backstroke flags. She became involved with the business because her children are swimmers. When Ms. Pulley moved to Maryland, she discovered that the state didn’t have a swim shop, so she decided to open one. Her responsibilities include working anywhere from five to seven days a week, ordering for teams, and going to swim meets to sell products.

Ms. Pulley attributes her success to her hard work, high energy, and knowledge of her products. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was honored with the Phillips 66 Volunteer of the Year Award for Swimming.

Along the way, Ms. Pulley earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Ball State University in 1977. She volunteers at her local church in her spare time, and enjoys auto-racing, NASCAR, and reading nonfiction material. Looking forward, Ms. Pulley intends to expand the business and market to a larger geographical area.
