Coming from a family of educators, Carolyn Moffett’s chosen profession was a natural choice. She followed her calling, which she says is in her blood, to NSU University School, where she currently serves as an elementary teacher. The private institution is designed as an independent college preparatory school for children grades K-12. Driven by the passion and love she has for education and her students, Ms. Moffett is proud to have hosted five interactive science events while with the school.

While working toward her career, Ms. Moffett earned a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree. The biggest challenge she faced along the way was balancing being a new mom, wife, and friend with her full-time career as a teacher. Ms. Moffett is devoted to her job, however, and hopes to be remembered for being firm, fair and funny. Looking to the future, she would like to broaden her horizons, work with more cultures, and increase her use of technology. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family.
