An entrepreneur at heart, Carmen Diaz-Jusino left corporate America to become the senior director of program and service delivery at the Center for Women & Enterprise. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping women start and grow their own businesses. Ms. Diaz-Jusino joined because she wanted to have a bigger and better impact on business and community development, and she brings a strong ability to counsel women and develop leaders to the role. Her passion for helping others is what inspires her to move forward; when she sees the positive outcomes of her work, it validates what she does and why.
Ms. Diaz-Jusino prepared for her career by earning a master’s degree in leadership and nonprofit, public and organizational management from Springfield College’s School of human services. She also obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Universidad del Caribe. Ms. Diaz-Jusino was recognized for her work by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and was honored with the Women Business Champion Award in 2010 and the Extraordinary Women Award in the area of business development in 2011. She supports the Alzheimer’s Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. When Ms. Diaz-Jusino isn’t working, she enjoys reading and traveling to the Dominican Republic to visit her mother.
