In the eyes of Debra G. James, a law degree is a stepping stone to a world of careers and opportunities. She has 33 years of experience in the field, and currently serves as an attorney with Greer, Herz & Adams L.L.P. She attributes her success to treating her clients like friends and putting their needs first, as well as staying on top of changes in law.

Ms. James earned a JD from the University of Houston Bates College of Law in 1982, and graduated cum laude. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, and the Texas Association of Bank Counsel, and recently joined the board of directors of the Texas Association of Bank Trustees. Additionally, Ms. James is a former officer and board member of Galveston County Young Lawyers. She supports the Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, and volunteers at the Galveston County Food Bank.
