After years of teaching high school business and computer courses, Barbara A. Hagerty took an opportunity to work as the director of technology at the Interboro School District. Personally and professionally, her goal is to continue her education so that she can provide quality technology to the students and teachers of the school.

Ms. Hagerty prepared for her career by earning a Master of Education in instructional technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in management information systems. She also holds a teaching certification, and is pursuing an Ed.D. in educational leadership and administration. One of the more difficult parts of her career are the county meetings she has to attend, as they are very male dominated. Ms. Hagerty is inspired, however, by the other women she has worked with. They were very supportive, and took time to mentor her. In her spare time, she supports and volunteers with dog rescue organizations, and is very involved with martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Ms. Hagerty also participates with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
